Brill and Eric Watch TV 217: Press Tour Dispatch
Isaiah Washington (photo, right) joins the cast of “Bionic Woman,” celebrities vie to be Donald Trump’s “Apprentice” and Jerry Seinfeld returns to TV to guest star as himself on the season premiere of “30 Rock.” Plus, NBC makes a couple of fall schedule tweaks, bolstering the return of “Friday Night Lights” and making Monday night three solid hours of primetime viewing we’re actually interested in.
With only four new shows premiering this fall, NBC’s first day of Summer Press Tour was pretty slow, but new co-chairs Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff’s executive session was popping with announcements.

“Friday Night Lights” is a terrific show. The best of last year. And I couldn’t care less about football. I hope the new timeslot will give it justice and that it will be on the air for a very long time.

This is what we’ve repeatedly been told about the show. And though we can’t watch EVERYTHING, we certainly want to be up on shows which get these kiind of raves from so many different viewers.
Hopefully, we can get our hands on the season 1 DVDs and catch up before the fall.
